Rigorous thinking is about ensuring the quality of the information one is presenting. This is achieved by being disciplined and focused in your research. In this body of work rigorous thinking is evident primarily in the literature review where I have, as far as possible, examined and explored the scope of available knowledge on the subject of pseudocyesis. I have then weighed up and assessed the available knowledge in order to ensure the quality of the information that I have then taken forward to the interview stage of the study. From the interviews I have then reported in the consistencies and differences within the nurses lived experiences in order to ensure intellectual honesty (Petrovskaya 2014).
