Couvade Syndrome, more commonly referred to as ‘sympathetic pregnancy, is something that usually presents in a male whose female partner is pregnant. The male will experience symptoms similar to those which the female partner is experiencing during her pregnancy such as; weight gain, elevated hormone levels, sleep disturbances and nausea.
It is thought by some academics that there may be a possible link between Couvade Syndrome and Pseudocyesis and that they perhaps have a common causation and origin.
